We are on the final descent into the weekend, which means the latest edition of Free Play Days has commenced on Xbox.
As always, the event features a selection of limited-time free games all of which come with their own caveats and conditions.
This time around, three games are free for all Xbox users but the fourth and final freebie does require a Game Pass membership, albeit to any tier.
Let’s begin with that. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, and Essential users can enjoy former GOTY nominee Subnautica for a limited-time.
It’s officially yours to enjoy from now until the day ends on Sunday 12 April, granting you ample time to explore the ocean’s depths.

This 2018 action-adventure title sees players step into the shoes of Ryley Robinson who crash lands on an oceanic alien planet.
Robinson must scour the ocean for supplies, all while encountering a peculiar array of creatures.
Back in 2018, Subnautica was nominated for Ultimate GOTY at the Golden Joysticks and won PC GOTY. It was also nominated for GOTY by the National Academy of Video Game Trade Reviewers Awards.
If you want to keep playing post Sunday, Subnautica is currently on offer for $14.99 instead of $29.99. Pricing will vary by region.
For those who don’t have a Game Pass subscription, there are three games up for grabs.
Graveyard Keeper is free to claim and keep forever, making it perhaps the most exciting offering of all. You need to claim it by 13 April at 10am PT.
Developed by Lazy Bear Games, it’s a kooky management sim that sees you run a medieval graveyard where discarding bodies in the river and poisoning local villages is done all in the name of capitlism.

It boasts the aesthetic charm of Stardew Valley even if its content is a tad more cursed. It’s well worth claiming while you can.
Finally, Project Motor Racing and One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 are free to play until the end of the day on Sunday 13 April, much like Subnautica but without the Game Pass requirement.
Project Motor Racing is a 2025 racing sim from Straight4 Studios where you can progress through a standard career mode single-player offering.
There aren’t particularly any unique quirks and the game didn’t fare well at launch.
However, it’s since launched its 2.0 update which has added redesigned UI, enhanced online systems, and a stronger campaign.
It’s on offer for $38.49 instead of $69.99 if you want to keep playing.
Last but not least is One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4, based on the acclaimed franchise you all know and love.

“In search of treasure, play through some of the most extraordinary areas in the One Piece story and take on memorable foes,” the synopsis reads.
“Experience the latest evolution of Pirate Warriors action and prepare for even more thrilling gameplay with enhanced graphics on Xbox Series X|S and the latest DLC content.”

It’s an action game from Omega Force that features plenty of brawls and battles.
You can nab this one for a meagre $9.99 instead of the usual $39.99
Once again, Free Play Days has delivered the goods.
