The end of the working week is almost upon us, which can only mean one thing for Xbox users.
Yes, the latest edition of Free Play Days is here.
As always, the event brings with it a slew of free games - some of which are accessible to all and others that require an Xbox Game Pass subscription.
That subscription can be of any tier.

Once again, it’s a rather uneven split. There’s only one game on offer that can be played without Game Pass, but it is a AAA award-winning banger.
All Xbox users can now enjoy Diablo IV for a limited time, the 2023 action RPG from Blizzard Entertainment.
It was nominated for both Best Multiplayer Game and Innovation in Accessibility at 2023’s The Game Awards.
It did go on to win Online Game of the Year at the 27th Annual D.I.C.E Awards.
This free play period includes access to the main campaign where you can choose from a number of classes, including Paladin which will be added in the Lord of Hatred expansion.
There is a 25 level limit for this free period, but you should by then have an idea of whether Diablo IV is for you.
All progress carries over if you pick up the full game or a Game Pass subscription.
Access remains open from now until Wednesday 18 March at 10am PT.
Xbox Game Pass Users Can Try Out Four More Games For Free
For Game Pass users, you can also sample Killing Floor 3, Bassmaster Fishing, Worms W.M.D, and Tropico 6 from now until the end of Sunday 15 March.
Killing Floor 3 is a 2025 FPS with the latest season, Operation: Deep Freeze, taking players to a derelict arctic research base where mysterious experiments have been unleashed.
If you want to continue playing this one, it’s currently 40% off, bringing the price down from $39.99 to $23.99.

For fishing fans, you can enjoy Bassmaster Fishing which is exactly what it sounds like. You’ll compete in a bass fishing competition from the amateur to elite levels.
This one’s down to just $3.99 from $19.99.
Worms W.M.D is up next, with the artillery turn-based title of the classic franchise having first landed in 2016.
Is it criminal to say that constitutes it as a classic these days?
Functioning similarly to Worms Armageddon, you’ll essentially engage in all out warfare, causing mass destruction as you select from a wide array of weapons as well as craft and build your own base.
Finally, you can try Tropico 6, a strategy sim builder that landed in 2019.
This one is a sim builder with a twist. You can either play as a feared dictator or “peace-loving statesman” on the island of Tropico.
It’s all, as you’ve likely guessed from the title, very tropical, so the game’s sunny skies are certainly a welcomed boost if the weather is miserable where you are.
The game is also on offer for $9.99, down from $39.99.
As I said, on those latter titles, you only have until the end of Sunday to get involved, so what are you waiting for? Go, go, go.
