Steam's collection of free games continues to expand with each passing day, and there's a little something out there for everyone, regardless of which genre you gravitate towards naturally.
Though some aren't really deserving of your precious time, others are able to break through and offer something that does actually resonate with players, and a new entry into the Steam store has done just that, with 100% positive reviews.
Dillo's Dilemma puts players into the paws of the titular Dillo, an armadillo who's on a mission solve puzzles and collect items on his way to defeating the game's overarching antagonist, the Rat King.
Gameplay wise, it absolutely won't be what you're expecting. Essentially, Dillo is able to roll himself up into a ball in order to travel around at breakneck speeds. The world is designed to accomodate this, and you'll need to take advantage of ramps and ping off bits of scenery to progress.

In the developer's own words, you'll need to "Master mind-bending pinball structures and fast-paced movement as you roll through vibrant, sprawling worlds filled with intricate challenges. With every agile flip, bounce, and roll, unleash your creative strategies to overcome movement puzzles and destroy Rat King's forts."
Dillo's Dilemma is also an impressively big game considering it's available totally free of charge. The game features two worlds to explore, each of which has their own secrets, challenges and mini-levels in the overworld.
It's also possible to build your own structures and machines to make traversal even faster, with the different methods of confronting areas only limited by what you can think of.
It's clearly a formula that has resonated with players, and several have left positive reviews along with their recommendation.
