Steam New Free Game Has 100 Percent Positive Ratings, and We Can See Why

If you’re looking for something that’s both free-to-play and acclaimed, then I have just the game.

Indie developer Papa Koala’s cosy hidden object title With My Little Eye has launched - and it’s done so to a perfect user review score, correct at the time of writing.

With My Little Eye is a rather simple title that tasks you with finding 50 hidden cats amongst a hand-drawn image that’s supposed to look like something lifted straight out of your childhood.

“Play and relax as you try and find them all in this hidden object game,” the synopsis reads.

You’ll be able to zoom around during your quest to try and find all 50 cats.

Even from just looking at the screenshots, I’m already itching to dive in and give this one a go myself.

There’s no hint or guide button, but I suppose adding one would defeat the purpose of the gameplay.

There is, as you might have guessed, only one level on offer, but I wouldn’t say that makes it any less worth your time.

It’s free and looks delightful, plus it’s always nice to support emerging developers.

Looking at various Steam users’ ‘hours on record’, it looks as if you should be able to complete With My Little Eye in less than 20 minutes.

As I said, it boasts a completely positive rating at the time of writing.

“Super chill, loved it! That last cat was very sneaky! Would love to see more levels,” wrote one player.

“I'm a simple man. I see free hidden kitty game, I play free hidden kitty game. A+ there were kitties hiding in there,” declared another.

“If you love hidden objects games, this is a must play. It's a total joy. It's a perfect game to relax with after a long day,” said one reviewer.

What more can you ask for from a cosy title?

With My Little Eye is only available to enjoy on PC via Steam, but it’s not the only free, cosy game out there.

Infinity Nikki is one of my favourites, an open-world exploration and puzzle game where new outfits provide you with new abilities; that’s available on PlayStation 5 as well as PC.

Or there’s Palia, a fantasy life sim that you can enjoy across PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

Grimm’s Hollow is another nice Steam option. It’s a cosy RPG that sees you embark on a search for your brother in the afterlife.

There are always free, sweet treats available out there for those who know where to look.
