A brand new free download on Steam is getting some seriously high praise, and it sounds like it would be perfect if not for one little issue…

ERA ONE is an upcoming action RTS on Steam from developer and publisher Team Complex LTD that's set to release very soon, which is good news for everyone who played the demo that just released.

The demo for ERA ONE, which just dropped on Monday, has already garnered some very impressive feedback, earning itself a "Very Positive" score on the platform with over 150 reviews (93% of which are positive).

So, what’s got the reviewers so impressed?

“I loved the demo. I really enjoyed the mechanics and I made a ridiculous base and maxed out the fleet,” writes reviewer mfwallaby.

“If you like RTS and have some patience to learn the mechanics without a tutorial, play the demo. Very excited to play the full game and I look forward to updates.”

“It feels very much like Homeworld 1 but much more entertaining and more engaging due to all the new gameplay ideas that sadly were not present in HW, like total customisation of capital ships and choosing weapons for sub-capital ships,” states reviewer SavagePilot. “Will buy it for sure.”

By the sounds of things, it’s almost close to a 10/10… except for a couple of little foibles.

The biggest issue players are running into is performance-related, as it sounds like people are experiencing some low frame rates during certain sections.

Also, a few reviewers have criticised it for its lack of a proper tutorial, which seems pretty necessary given how complicated it sounds.

That being said, this kind of feedback is what demos are for, and the devs have plenty of time to address these problems before ERA ONE officially releases next month.
