The cold weather is officially upon us and what better way to celebrate the winter months than by bundling up, making a hot drink and getting stuck into a cosy game?

Well, Steam may not be able to make you a hot drink (yet) but it can definitely offer you a cosy game in the shape of Momento.

With a free demo available to download now, Momento is a cozy room decorator with a twist.

The twist is that the choices you make and the objects you choose will play out over the course of a lifetime.

Developed by Fat Alien Cat and Nomo Studio, Momento will task players with decorating rooms and choosing which items mean the most to them in an ode to the power of everyday things.

Featuring stunning and colourful visuals, this cosy room decorator includes multiple paths, in turn encouraging multiple playthroughs.

You will start at childhood by picking out toys that you hope best represent your future.

Then, you will gradually make your way into adulthood, where you will learn all about love, heartbreak, and sentimentality through the objects you take with you.

“Pay close attention - some objects may be more than they seem at first glance,” the official Steam synopsis reads.

Momento features a delightfully tactile world as you move your cursor across the various rooms, interacting with everything from lights to books, animals and much more.

“Embark on a journey where the objects you choose to keep influence the life you lead.”

A story of love and loss

As you create and collect your own furniture, you will be able to design your room to your liking whether in story mode or creative mode.

Then, when you are done, you will be able to return to the beginning to uncover new paths in an ever evolving story about love and loss.

In the free demo for Momento, players will get to experience decorative freedom with no select way to design a room as they take on the first three levels of the full game.

The demo encourages players to explore freely, unlock over 100+ items to decorate with, solve over 36 puzzles and most of all, immerse themselves in relaxing scenery and equally relaxing music.

Created by just three developers based across two studios, Momento is clearly a labour of love and this cosy game is free to download and try out right now.
