Steam’s huge Next Fest, which has showcased hundreds of upcoming games via playable demos, is coming to an end. You’ll need to be quick if there’s anything you want to play and haven’t quite got around to it yet.

Hopefully, you’ve been able to check out some of the highlights, or something you’ve been looking forward to. The Next Fest is the perfect time to try and add new games to your wishlist. And if you haven’t played anything yet, then get to it!

Plenty of the demos run brilliantly on Steam Deck too

No matter what your taste in games, the demo festival has something for you. We’ve seen roguelikes, MetroidVanias, strategy games, and horror titles sure to chill your bones. We’ve already given you our top ten choices from the festival, but as there are so many gems to try, get these downloaded now before they disappear.

Rotwood is a cartoon brawler with bags of charm and humour, coming from Klei, the studio behind Don’t Starve. If that isn’t your thing, perhaps you’d prefer an anime board game in Astral Party, which is sure to give Mario Party a run for its money and bring board game madness to PC.

Children of the Sun is a kooky action strategy game that combines a comic book style with gorgeous landscapes and plenty of action. If you want a surreal and delightful MetroidVania then look no further than Ultros, which is a psychedelic trip bursting with bold colours and unique features. Perhaps cute and cosy is what you really need in this hectic life? Then download Minami Lane and revel in the pastel cuteness.

Who knows when the Next Fest will return. Steam tends to run the festival a few times a year and it’s a great opportunity to see what’s bubbling up for PC. Get over to Steam and grab the demos while you still can.
