You know the drill by now. Gaming can be an expensive hobby, but it doesn’t have to be.

As reported by SteamGamesPC, eight new free-to-play games have landed on Steam, all of which are available for you to currently download and enjoy.

Let’s start with Lost Magic from developer Nokhook Entertainment.

This one’s a 2D MMORPG with turn-based combat, featuring dungeons, PvP, and PvE elements in a “unique world with story driven content”.

Inspired by old-school RPGs, Lost Magic will see you “come face to face with the secrets of a mysterious world where people from Earth came to fight for the remnants of magical energy”.

If retro platformers are more your thing, then Bill Woo’s Rise of the Penguins GB could be for you.

It’s designed as if it’s a Game Boy game, although it is playable on Steam. You’ll want to hop and dodge your way to victory.

Unable to put Balatro down? Then Software24601’s Poker Clicker may be up your alley.

“Earn chips by revealing randomly generated poker hands and unlock gems for powerful bonuses,” reads the synopsis.

Fancy a game of the arcade variety? Lanesplitterz is a 3D arcade-style bowling title where you’ll star as Hiro, a young bowler attempting to become the King of Neo Las Vegas.

Marvel Rivals is a free-to-play title that’s seen huge success in recent months.

Nexus Station is up next. Developed by Social First Oy, this one’s a social sandbox MMO.

Players will be able to create their own worlds, challenging their friends to “epic adventures”. Vague, but I’m sure there’s fun to be had.

Pure Heart Game Studio brings us Realm of Simplicity, an MMORPG that should appeal to Elder Scrolls fans.

Here, you’ll explore an open medieval fantasy world, completing quests, mastering your skills, and acquiring loot, all whilst seeing off enemies.

I haven’t forgotten about you horror fans. You can dive into Alexi’s The Closing Shift.

In this interactive first-person horror, you’ll be tasked with closing a restaurant for the night but all is not as it seems … creepy.

Finally, I bring you JUMPNG DISABLE, a 3D “JUMPNG” game, whatever that means.

There are 10 levels to enjoy in total, each filled with unique obstacles.

All of the above are available to download and enjoy right now.
