Steam players can now enjoy eight new free games, courtesy of indie developers from all across the world.

We regularly cover free games on Steam from time-to-time, and it’s that time of week again where a bunch of new ones have hit the PC platform.

This new batch of games vary in genre, from challenging puzzle-platformers to short visual novels, so there’s bound to be something here for you.

A Great Bunch Of New Steam Games For You To Pick Up

In case you wanted to check these freebies out on your Sunday morning, we’ll list them here for your perusal. Here they are:

  • Train Wreck, a 3D top-down, local co-op defense game, where you and up to three other players become train operators delivering cargo across multiple stations while fending off train robbers set in the wild west.
  • Slash, A skill based game with lots of customizability, where you slash bullets with a sword before they hit the ground, to earn money and get new cosmetics.
  • PolyLumina, a colourful rhythm game where you compose polyrhythmic chord arrangements and watch them come alive through glowing, reactive visuals.
  • Bygone Snow, a short visual novel that is meant to be played on a Game Boy Advance. The Steam release features an emulated version which should allow it to play on a PC.
  • Gravity, a platformer and obstacle game where you use a gravitational field to guide an astronaut through space by clicking and dragging him across the screen.
  • Ball Roller, a challenging physics puzzle-platformer where you need to roll a ball up a steep and unforgiving mountain either alone or with friends.
  • Jurassic Wrap, a platformer developed by a father-son duo, where you traverse various levels with the goal of rescuing dinosaur eggs while avoiding various hazards and threats.
  • CivIdle, think of this as like Sid Meier’s Civilization series but with an idle incremental twist, where you guide your civilisation through history by increasing various counters and numbers.

If you’d like to check out any of these games, be sure to check them out by heading to their respective pages on the Steam store and hitting "Play Game" just under the media tab.

Of course, be sure to check if the game will actually run on your PC first. You can do that by going to the minimum and recommended system requirements section of the page, and comparing it with your own hardware.
