Cosy gamers rejoice, we have a new demo that can steal away more precious hours from your life as you chase the dream of owning a house, something that seems impossible in this economy.

If you’re looking for something new to play after losing hundreds of hours to Stardew Valley, then this could be the one for you.

Grab the demo for Sunshine Farm on Steam.

Sunshine Farm is a new farm management game coming to Steam this year.

The tasks will feel familiar if you’ve been playing these games for many years; “grow crops, expand your farm, sell at the market, and build your dream shop while exploring caves, fighting monsters, and turning your house into a perfect home.”

You’ll be starting out with a trashed farm in lots of debt, and the aim is to revitalise the area while running a shop and hunting monsters.

There are plenty of these games vying for your attention, so having a free demo to download and play allows you to dip in and see if it’s one to add to your wishlist.

The little shop you run seems lovely, you can even hire employees and manage your stock levels for locals to browse.

There can be moments of crisis and negative scenarios through an interesting spin on in-game events, that are usually positive celebrations.

I’d call it a simulator, but the idea of actually having money and being able to buy a nice house to fill it with cute furniture feels unattainable nowadays, so you’re simulating a dream.

Imagine having a lovely house to return to at the end of the day, but you can’t because capitalism is evil, and interest rates are ridiculous.

For now, we can all raise imaginary money in Sunshine Farm's demo, pay off our debts with ease, and achieve what was once quite easy for our grandparents.
