Resident Evil meets BioShock in excellent new horror adventure

This looks eerie!

Resident Evil and BioShock fans will want to take notice of this new and upcoming horror game.

For many, the Resident Evil and BioShock series are amongst the best horror franchises in video game history. Each has horrific creatures, plenty of action, tense atmosphere and compelling stories from start to finish.

So, if we were to encounter a game that blends elements of Capcom’s Resident Evil and 2K’s BioShock, it could very well be something to look out for.

Check out the Displacement trailer below!

That game in question is called Displacement, developed and published by the indie team at Obelisk Studio.

“Displacement is a gripping action-horror with elements of immersive storytelling,” reads the synopsis of the game on Steam.

“You play as a psychologist who finds themselves at a polar station where the staff have fallen victim to a mysterious madness. Keep your sanity — or lose your mind. The choice is yours.”

The trailer for Displacement certainly looks promising, and other then giving vibes of Resident Evil and BioShock, I think it also has a hint of Condemned: Criminal Origins.

“This looks awesome,” said Bicentric in the comment section of the teaser trailer on YouTube.

“It looks awesome. I can't wait to get my hands on this,” replied batongleba with Jocoiscool saying, “This game looks too good, please release it.”

Obelisk Studio is a new independent team, and according to its official website, members have experience with the likes of Far Cry 6, Sons of the Forest, Dota 2, as well as the Netflix animated series, Love, Death & Robots.

Displacement is currently in its alpha phase of development and does not have a release date at the time of writing, but be sure to wishlist it on Steam to be notified of its launch.

Hopefully, if Displacement proves to be a success, we might see it released on consoles one day.
