Steam gamers can now dig into a brand new free demo for Lone Pine, an upcoming point-and-click adventure game.
Released on Steam today by Bang Bang Bang Interactive, the Lone Pine demo offers a small slice of the game’s story mode for players to dig their teeth into.
According to its developer, the Lone Pine demo allows you to experience the first section of the game, with “all its core gameplay mechanics” featuring “a mix of classic point-and-click exploration, with full controller support, combined with modern interactive puzzles.”
The Lone Pine Demo Will Give You A Taste Of What's To Come
It begins with the prologue and first chapter of the game, and the demo goes on until the end of the first act.
Despite the fact you’ll need to play the full release to experience the full story, all the gameplay mechanics from the game are present in the demo.

Those who end up enjoying the demo can then wishlist the game on Steam, with new updates on the game’s release date coming further down the line.
Described as “a single-player, 2D adventure”, Lone Pine has major Oxenfree and Firewatch vibes as you play as Izzie, a young outdoors buff who has travelled to the wilderness to gather evidence of ‘cryptids’.
The gameplay of Lone Pine includes being able to “explore, climb, solve puzzles, uncover mysteries, and create the path forward to find your way home,” following a raging storm that leaves Izzie stranded.
Bang Bang Bang Interactive promises “full voice-acted and lip-synced characters” as well as “digital hand-drawn art” without the use of generative AI, as well as a “realistic photography mini-game that gradually teaches you real-life camera settings.”
There will also be two different endings to the story that change depending on your choices, giving you a reason to replay it if you end up enjoying the game.
You can grab the demo for Lone Pine now by heading to the Steam store page and downloading it to your PC.
