Steam users can now download a free demo for a scary new game that has all the flavours of P.T. and Resident Evil.
P.T. has often been cited as one of the most influential horror games of the 2010s, bringing about a new age of first-person perspectives set in intimate locations.
Indie creators have especially been inspired by this wave of new horror, with games like Visage, Adam - Lost Memories, and Devotion being good examples of its influence.
Knock From Inside is another upcoming game which may give the P.T. audience something to enjoy while Konami refuses to remaster or re-release the game.

It’s a short psychological horror set on a quiet Halloween night. You’re alone in your apartment, but something doesn’t quite feel right.
“On Halloween night, something begins knocking from inside your apartment, turning an ordinary night into a terrifying encounter with something that should not be there,” the Steam description for Knock From Inside begins.
“You play as Adam, a university student returning to his apartment to gather his last belongings before moving back home, but there’s already a knock coming from the inside.
“The sound grows louder each time you approach the door. Something is waiting on the other side, and it wants to be let out. ‘Her past becomes yours wherever you go’.”

Knock From Inside has a free demo available now if you’d like to experience the game’s opening moments. While the full game is expected to last 30 minutes, the demo should give you a small portion of that to experience at your own pace.
To download the demo for Knock From Inside, simply head over to the Steam store and download it from there. Make sure your PC hardware is up to snuff, though, so you can play it smoothly without any issues.
There’s no information available yet on when the full version of Knock From Inside will be available. The Steam store page simply lists it as “coming soon”, which doesn’t give us any indication of when it’s actually coming out.
Meanwhile, Steam also continues to feature demos for other upcoming indie horror releases.
The demo for Complete Horror, for example, received 73% positive reviews on Steam when it was launched, with players applauding it for its atmosphere and survival horror mechanics.
On the other hand, if you like your horror a bit more rooted within reality, the free game 93, Kuindzhi has provided players with a hard look at real-life tragedies from the perspective of a person caught in the middle of a conflict.
