Steam users can now download a brand new free adventure game, which takes only one hour to finish.
If the names Daniele Vicinanzo, Leonard Menchiari, and Giulio Perrone don’t mean anything to you, you might be more familiar with their work on The Eternal Castle Remastered.
The Eternal Castle Remastered is a ‘remaster’ of a platformer with the same name from 1987. The twist? The Eternal Castle was never actually a real game.
It was a rather interesting title, not perfect but certainly doing enough interesting things to warrant a recommendation.

After seven years of working on their own projects, the trio have regrouped for a new game, which is available for free on Steam right now called Enter The Moshpit.
Enter The Moshpit is described as “a point-and-click adventure set in the Italian underground scene,” where you navigate the streets as a local punk, solve puzzles using items in your inventory, and make use of branching dialogue to sneak into a hardcore concert.
The game features traditional point-and-click gameplay, where you explore different 2D pixel art environments and interact with different characters and various objects.

As the game is set in Italy, Enter The Moshpit has been designed with an authentic setting in mind. As the developers put it, different locations from the game are “inspired by real-life social centres and streets of Livorno, accompanied by a dedicated hardcore/punk soundtrack.”
There are also environmental puzzles for you to solve, which can be completed by collecting items, managing them from your inventory, and combining them to overcome obstacles.
Many of these items are uniquely “punk-themed” and will allow you to do things like bribing authorities or bypassing security.
Meanwhile, the game also emphasises dialogue, where you must engage in long conversations with branching routes, with different outcomes depending on your speech choices.
If you’d like to check out Enter The Moshpit, you can grab it for free from Steam right now. A standalone story is designed for around 30 to 60 minutes of playtime, so it won’t take you long to clear it once.
It’s also worth noting that the game doesn’t have any additional add-ons or future content coming to the game. The developer writes: “By purchasing Enter the Moshpit, you receive the full game experience, including all narrative chapters, the complete interactive dialogue system, and the original punk-inspired art and sound assets.”
After that, I’d also recommend you go pick up The Eternal Castle Remastered, which is a great, albeit short, experience in its own regard.
