My backlog is a great cause of stress.
You see, I’m the type of person that likes to tick every item off a to-do list.
The idea of a backlog therefore upsets me, especially as mine consists of a ton of titles I’m already halfway through.
I should really lock in and focus on finishing those games, but it’s so hard when promising new releases are emerging on a daily basis.

That’s the case for the highly praised Witch You Want which has landed on PC storefront Steam from indie developer Studio Élan.
I don’t feel too bad about downloading this one though given that it’s free and can be completed in less than an hour.
Some Players Have Finished In as Little as 30 Minutes
Witch You Want is a visual novel where players will assist a witch in saving her failing potion shop.
“With a rather sparkly magical paper, you look over the job listing for a local witch needing an assistant with making potions before the town festival that weekend,” the synopsis begins.
“Something so short notice would surely be hard for her to find workers, and you just happen to be in between jobs—so you sign up, unsure exactly what to expect.
“A pompous and questionably excellent witch runs a local apothecary in town but finds that if she wants to make enough potions before the festival that weekend to sell (and keep her ongoing potion shop afloat) she'll need some assistance.
“After a dubious help wanted ad, she gains you as an assistant. Will the two of you see through to the festival? Will you be able to make a single potion? Will this girlfailure capture your heart?!”
Players will be able to create their own main character, participate in potion-making minigames, and enjoy a potential romance.
The indie title has debuted to 100% positive reviews, correct at the time of writing. You can’t ask for more than that.
“Enjoyable yuri potion crafting, I wish it was a bit longer or had more characters, but for a free game this is a fun game to pick and play once. Also Mirabelle's design is good. I love it,” wrote one happy player.
“Very cute and short game! No complaints other than I wish we could brew more potions in a day. Otherwise super cute and roughly 30 mins of gameplay,” added another.
What’s not to like? Sorry backlog, I’ll be giving this one a whirl tonight.
