Resident Evil meets Silent Hill in twisted new horror

Those on the lookout for a brand-new horror need look no further as this Resident Evil inspired title is guaranteed to leave its mark.

Tormented Souls 2 is an upcoming survival horror title and the direct sequel to 2021’s Tormented Souls developed by Dual Effect.

The sequel to the award-winning title will again revisit the story of Caroline Walker as she explores eerie monasteries and other nightmarish locations.

“Brace yourself and confront terrifying creatures armed only with makeshift weapons as you desperately try to rescue your cursed sister,” the official synopsis reads.

Set to launch soon, Tormented Souls 2 sees us pick up where we left off and Caroline now yearns for a normal life with her younger sister, Anna.

However, when Anna falls victim to a mysterious affliction, Caroline must turn to the supernatural in order to save her.

Set in a remote Southern American town with a chilling past known as Puerto Miller, a recent 24-minute gameplay video has given us our first look at what we can expect.

Inspired by Resident Evil titles with the classic fixed camera angles, Tormented Souls 2 is powered by Unreal Engine 5 and promises a horror experience brought to unprecedented levels.

With only the use of makeshift weapons, Caroline must fight for her life with players needing to navigate detailed environments in a map three times the size of the original Tormented Souls.

Add in some challenging puzzles, gruesome enemies, psychological horrors and a harrowing story and you will get Tormented Souls 2.

Not only that but this will fill the gap whilst we wait for the next Silent Hill entry and fans are getting hyped.
