This 2024 psychological horror game is finally making its way to current-gen systems in 2026, and you’ll only have to wait another two weeks to get your hands on it (if you dare).

There are a lot of interesting-looking games set to release in early 2026, like Pathologic 3, 1348 Ex Voto, and 2XKO, but we all know exactly which game Silent Hill and Resident Evil fans are looking forward to in the next couple of months: Resident Evil Requiem.

If you just can’t wait until 27 February, though, then there’s another survival horror game coming to Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 in January 2026… but, uh, maybe temper your expectations a little, if you’re expecting something on par with what Resident Evil Requiem will (hopefully) deliver.

Perhaps This Alternative Will Keep You Busy

That’s because we just got a new trailer for the console port of Dead Witness’ 2024 horror game Apartment No 129, and it’s revealed that the game is slated for a 16 January release date on current-gen consoles.

If you’re surprised you’ve not heard of this one, considering it originally released on Steam roughly 18 months ago, there’s probably a good reason for that.

Apartment No 129 follows the story of Emir, a content creator who decided to investigate an apartment complex in Turkey that’s the subject of several urban legends, including one about two teenagers who mysteriously died after performing a “satanic ritual” that, somehow, triggered an earthquake.

Surprise surprise, turns out the urban legends were true, and you’ll have to battle your way through a bunch of unhinged freaks in a bid to escape Apartment No 129.

The game wasn’t a huge hit when it released back in 2024, financially or critically, with most reviewers labelling it as a solid 6/10 experience.

It admittedly does look quite striking visually, but folks over on Steam have complained about it being buggy and, unfortunately, a bit of a slog to finish.

However, it is on the cheap side. As of writing, it’s currently 40% on Steam, which means you can snag it for roughly £4. I’ve certainly wasted more than that on worse-looking games, so maybe it could tide you over until the release of the next Resident Evil game.

Hopefully, the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series ports of the game fix some of the bugs, at least, because I’m sure this game will find a more forgiving crowd on consoles.
