It’s fair to say that when it comes to faithful remakes with plenty of twists and turns, Resident Evil developer Capcom knocks it out of the park.

The Resident Evil series began in 1996 and helped put the survival horror genre on the map and helped Capcom be known for more than just Street Fighter and Mega Man. The original Resident Evil trilogy from 1996 to 1999 are true classics of yesterday but in 2019, a new legion of fans was welcomed with the fantastic Resident Evil 2 remake.

While Capcom’s first remake in the series arrived on the Nintendo GameCube in 2002, Resident Evil 2 (2019) was a different beast entirely due to the far more advanced software and technology of today and as a result, Capcom fans have been itching (tasty) for even more remakes from the series such as Resident Evil Code: Veronica, Resident Evil: Outbreak and more. One other remake that fans would love to see is the dino survival horror of 1999, Dino Crisis.

It’s quite baffling to think that given the success of the Resident Evil remakes, Capcom still hasn't announced a Dino Crisis remake, especially when it’s something that fans are desperate to see and will no doubt print money for the company. That being said, it wouldn't be surprising to see a Dino Crisis remake one day, especially as Capcom has been teasing fans of its potential revival, the most recent of which was this February.

In February, the ‘Capcom Super Election survey was published and fans were asked what games they would like to see get a sequel or a new game. Amongst those selections were the aforementioned Dino Crisis, joined by Okami, Onimusha: Warlords, and Dead Rising to name a few. According to Twitter user HazzadorGamin, Dino Crisis was the most requested game via the survey.

It remains to be seen what Capcom will announce next. New Resident Evil and Street Fighter games are always likely, but modern versions of Dino Crisis, Onimusha and Dead Rising would no doubt please the legion of fans both new and old.
