Resident Evil 4 Remake Gets $20 Discount, Only Days Left to Claim

Perfect to play on Halloween weekend - or after!

Widely regarded as one of the best horror games of all time and especially the best Resident Evil entry, Resident Evil 4 is celebrating a massive sale for a very limited time.

First released way back in 2005 for the GameCube, Resident Evil 4 garnered critical acclaim with praise for its gameplay, graphics, voice acting, and characters and, as mentioned, is often hailed as one of the best video games of all time.

With multiple Game of the Year awards under its belt in the early 2000s, it is no surprise that Capcom chose it to remake with the Resident Evil 4 Remake releasing worldwide in 2023.

To nobody’s surprise, the remake was also met with positive reviews and managed to sell over 10 million copies by April 2025, cementing it as the fastest-selling Resident Evil game of all time.

Although Capcom is jumping on the remake bandwagon in recent years, it seems as though Resident Evil 4 still reigns supreme.

However, if you are yet to dive into Resident Evil 4 Remake, this recent sale may just convince you.

As part of Xbox’s current event titled Shocktober, Resident Evil 4 Remake joins many other titles boasting an almost 70% off sale.

Ending on 2 November, you do not have long to take advantage of this discount which will see you able to grab Resident Evil 4 Remake at a $20 discount.

For U.K. residents, this will see the usual £32.98 game be discounted down to a mere £16.49.

This is a major discount for a full Capcom Resident Evil title but if you are still not convinced, our very own James Daly’s review of Resident Evil 4 Remake may be the final nudge you need.

“Resident Evil 4 is a brilliant action-horror game and I’ll no doubt play through it multiple times over the coming months,” his review back in 2023 reads.

“Based on how well this game plays, it feels like Capcom could apply their knowledge to a remake of Resident Evil 5, but that’s a conversation for another time.”

The remake to end all remakes

With praise for its gorgeous visuals, engaging gameplay, excellent sound design and a huge campaign to get stuck into, it is no wonder that Resident Evil 4 Remake is as beloved as it is.

There are just a couple of months to go until Resident Evil Requiem is set to launch and with a familiar face rumoured to be making a return, now would be the perfect time to brush up on their story so far.

So if you are yet to check out Resident Evil 4 Remake and want the perfect game to play this spooky weekend, do not miss out on this limited time deal.
