Red Dead Redemption 2 feels like an entirely new game if you change one setting

There’s not much to dislike about Red Dead Redemption 2 when you stick to a vanilla playthrough. However, there’s something to be said for changing the settings to completely reinvigorate the game, specifically how it feels to play.

So many gamers out there have discovered new ways to change up the atmosphere of Rockstar Games wild west outing, however, this way is by far the most noticeable. It’ll put you in charge in a way you’ve never been before, the action coming at you thick and fast.

“After doing a whole play through in FP, I can’t go back,” said one player who’s already braved the intensity of the experience. “It makes it so much more immersive. Sometimes it’s a little clunky, but it’s worth it imo.”

From the clip we’ve seen that was shared on Reddit, first person Red Dead Redemption is super fast, in such a way that we almost get whiplash between shots. Imagine the chaos that would unfold if you used this mode while attempting to tackle the 50 new bandit missions waiting for you around each corner in a new expansion.

“Yeah a full first person, free aim only playthrough of the story is an entirely different experience. I urge everyone to try it at least once,” posted another fan, further convincing us that we need to try this for ourselves. Once we’re mentally prepared for it.

To change perspectives, all you need to do is press the touchpad on PlayStation and the select button on Xbox to jump into a world that feels more like Cyberpunk 2077 than it does Red Dead Redemption. We love it when setting changes are simple to make.

Just make sure you’re prepared to go faster than Sonic when taking down those enemies because the first person perspective doesn’t hold back.
