One day we’ll know all the secrets of Red Dead Redemption 2, and it’ll be a dark day indeed. Especially if it happens before we’re close to its sequel.

But today isn’t that day, thankfully.

Rockstar Games fans are discovering that there’s an alternate ending that few people are aware of.

In honour of this newly discovered ending, let's enjoy some funny wins and fails from RDR2

This isn’t an ending for the base game but for a mission instead; so if you want more post-game content, you should head to this RDR2 free download.

During ‘A Quiet Time’ mission you go drinking with Lenny, which can end in one of several ways.

The majority of Red Dead Redemption 2 players end up escaping from police, as seems fitting given the situation unfolding.

However, as revealed by Redditor Name12345678910-1, there’s an “alternate scene” you can unlock as well.

Although you can pass out drunk having run from the law, you can also end up in jail.

While this may not seem like the ideal way to conclude this sub-plot, players have pointed out that it comes with some convenient perks.

Chiefly that you’re closer to the stable and thus your trusty steed.

However, while a bonus, some are struggling to get past the fact that you can get caught by the cops in the first place.

“Wait, are you saying there's an alternate scene if you get caught by the police?” asked user hortys.

To this, not only did someone confirm that there is a scene but that it’s a fairly comedic one too.

“You can run into a post when going down the alley and knock yourself out then wake up in a cell,” they revealed.

Poor Arthur, forced to wake up with a sore head in the confines of a jail cell.

As if this alternate ending isn’t surprising enough, it’s also been reported that Arthur has a randomised response to his unlawful predicament.

Redditor dandemonium66 explained, “I’ve replayed the mission for fun and Arthur says something different every time. Another one of Rockstar’s attentions to detail.”

The next time you go out drinking with Lenny, maybe take a chance to see what happens, you may just be surprised.
