This free download for The Witcher 3 is only available for a little bit longer, and fans are urged to check it out while it lasts.
It’s been ten years since we played The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for the first time, but there are always new generations of fans coming about every few years to check out this classic.
The Witcher 3’s availability on PlayStation Plus is one such way people have been able to get easy accessibility to the RPG, being able to play it at no additional charge with any subscription to PS Plus Extra.
Unfortunately for fans though, The Witcher 3 will be leaving PlayStation Plus Extra in August. As spotted by eagle eyed PlayStation users, The Witcher 3 has appeared on the Last Chance to Play section of the game catalogue.

The Witcher 3 will be leaving the service by the end of the month, meaning that you have until 31st July to play the game on PlayStation Plus Extra. This is just the base version of the game, by the way, and doesn’t include the DLC included in the Expansion Pass.
After that, you’ll have to purchase the game to continue playing it. Luckily, the PlayStation Summer Sale began this week, where you can grab The Witcher 3 for 80% off.
Star Wars Jedi Survivor, UFC 5, and Wild Hearts are also leaving PlayStation Plus Extra in August, so be sure to check those games out too if you fancy playing them.
While we’re losing The Witcher 3, we’re also gaining another popular CD Projekt Red game. Cyberpunk 2077 joined PlayStation Plus Extra this month, which was added on 9th July.

It doesn’t include the Phantom Liberty expansion, but it is a must-download for RPG fans that want a new big game to get stuck into.
Be sure to check out The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt before it leaves PlayStation Plus Extra on 31st July.
