Uncharted Trilogy Remake Has Gamers Hyped Over Its Potential

Wouldn't that be something

Naughty Dog may be deep in the trenches with Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, but Uncharted is a series that many fans will always cherish.

While Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy might be the two more popular titles in the franchise, that original trilogy is just as important to the franchise’s legacy.

And fans have recognised how much of a shame it is that Naughty Dog hasn’t re-released the original trilogy as a new collection for PS5 and PC.

The latter platform especially, seeing as you can’t actually play the first three Uncharted games on there right now, but you can play the fourth and fifth ones.

And while you can technically play them on PS5 via the Nathan Drake Collection, some fans are hoping those games receive the same treatment as The Last of Us Part 1’s remake that was released back in 2022.

“Would you guys be interested in a remake of the Uncharted trilogy? And do you think a remake is needed for these games? If so, how would you like Naughty Dog to approach the project?” wrote a fan on the Uncharted Reddit page.

“They look good in the remastered trilogy but they deserve The Last of Us Part 1 treatment,” wrote one fan in the comments underneath the post.

“Even just out of respect for the games. Uncharted walked so The Last of Us could sprint and frankly, both The Last of Us and Crash Bandicoot got remakes, so it only makes sense that Uncharted gets the same as its a cornerstone title just like them.”

“I would like to play the trilogy on PC,” wrote another. Don’t we all, mate.

Some fans have stated their preference for a new game though, either in the form of a mainline entry Uncharted 5 or a spin-off akin to The Lost Legacy.

“I want a new game, and I think if they wait until the PS6 generation, it'll be even better and more time will have passed,” wrote one fan under the same post.

The last Uncharted game came in 2017 with Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, which swapped series’ protagonist Nathan Drake for recurring character Chloe Frazer now as the playable protagonist, and saw her teaming up with one of Uncharted 4's antagonists, Nadine Ross.

In the years since, rumours of a new Uncharted spin-off in development have cropped up. Though nothing concrete has been confirmed by Naughty Dog or Sony.
