Uncharted fans have been patiently waiting for a new entry in the series for over a decade, and there might finally be light at the end of the tunnel.
We recently reported on a tease for the future of the Uncharted franchise, coming from Neil Druckman himself, during an interview with Variety.
Sure, this only amounted to him saying, “there’s just ongoing conversations [...] as far as different adaptations or expansions,” but any mention of Uncharted, and we’re going to be as excited as the rest.
Fans have long wondered why Naughty Dog hasn’t focused on the successful series, particularly for the PlayStation 5, which would make the scenic views of Uncharted look wonderful.

When this news made its way to Reddit, players were excited, while holding on to the cautious attitude they’ve had to adopt.
“Uncharted could very easily continue with an entire new cast,” suggests one fan.
While another agrees, noting, “It needs to be either focused on Sam, or on Nate and Elena’s daughter doing some Lara Croft style stuff.”
The ongoing theme among players is that the fourth game had a perfect ending, and while they miss the action, and Nathan Drake, they don’t want to see that spoiled.

“Uncharted ended. It's best to just let it be. I love this franchise, so don't get me wrong,” said this Redditor, who continued, “The best ND can do with Uncharted is remake UC 1-3.”
It would be a shame if we never saw more from the Uncharted world, but maybe another in the series simply wouldn’t work, especially with Naughty Dog putting all their efforts into huge blockbusters that take many years to create, telling new stories.
This seems to be the thought of this fan, who said, “It ended at a good place, keep it there and come up with something new.”
