Uncharted 5 isn’t on the way as far as we’re aware, but the next best thing may be in the form of fan film Uncharted: Drake’s Legacy.
I’m trying out a new technique; it’s where I pretend I don’t want Uncharted 5 in the hopes that it’ll then magically turn up.
The truth is that it’s a game I want very much - and I don’t care who stars as its protagonist.
Uncharted: The Lost Legacy was just as fun as the mainline games, if you ask me, so I certainly wouldn’t be against another Nadine, Chloe, and Sam team-up.

I do think it’s perhaps more likely that Nate will hand the reins over to his daughter Cassie, brought to life in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End by Kaitlyn Dever.
Dever has a great relationship with Naughty Dog from her work as Abby in HBO’s The Last Of Us.
Officially, a new Uncharted game hasn’t been announced, but Naughty Dog is reportedly working on a second game alongside Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, headed up by Shaun Escayg who was the director of The Lost Legacy … suspicious.
I’m still convinced that weird ‘Live from PS5’ cave footage has something to do with it.

What Uncharted fans can definitely look forward to is Uncharted: Drake’s Legacy, an upcoming fan film that’s due to serve as a fifth instalment in the series.
The film is set to feature a slightly darker iteration of Nathan Drake who perhaps isn’t able to shake off his kill count quite like his video game counterpart.
Described as a “classic Uncharted adventure”, the film will examine Drake’s relationships and “what he could become if the most important thing in the world is taken from him”.
Very intriguing.

It’ll star Ben Malone as Nate, Helen Irwin as Elena, James Wheatley as Sully, Safiyya Ingar as Chloe, Kisa Watton as Nadine, Danny Farnhill as Rafe, Alice Johnson as Cassie, and Scott Baker as Sam.
Malone and Irwin are also writing the project, with James Coaton on camera duties, Carlos Adama stepping in as cinematographer, and Caite Pritestly occupying the composer role.
Abi Le Guilcher and Nieke Teebeest are the film’s producers.
It’s being created by Spores Productions after a crowdfunding campaign ran last year.

You may recognise Spores Productions as they brought us the excellent The Last of Us: All We Lost fan film.
Around half of the Uncharted fan film has been shot with just over two shoots left to complete.
Lyingcat_Cosplay confirmed on Reddit that it’ll last for around 45 minutes in total which is pretty ample viewing.
A trailer is said to be coming soon, so keep an eye out for this one!
