Developer Infinite Entropy is preparing to launch a new third-person stealth adventure title later this year.
Salvation: Echoes of War is due to launch in Q3 of 2026, so we’re talking either in July, August, or September with a precise date yet to be narrowed down.
You can, however, now enjoy a free slice of the game on the PlayStation Store - and you don’t need PlayStation Plus to get involved.
You simply need to search for Salvation: Echoes of War and hit download.

“Immerse yourself in a surreal third-person adventure set within the haunting depths of purgatory,” begins the synopsis.
“You play as a war pilot trapped in a comatose nightmare, forced to confront his traumatic past.
“Navigate eerie environments inspired by historical wars, using stealth, puzzle-solving, and strategic, non-aggressive combat to survive.
“With the help of your intelligent, loyal companion, uncover secrets hidden within this shadowy realm. Can you face your fears and reclaim your life from the echoes of war?”

The story sees you step into the shoes of a bomber pilot from World War II who finds himself trapped within a coma.
ICYMI, here are some other free treats on PlayStation 5:
In the landscape of their mind, the protagonist has to face harsh memories while trying to escape this harrowing purgatory.
That task is made all the more difficult by trapped souls within this landscape that use light and sound to hunt you down.
That’s where the game’s stealth elements come into play, as you won’t want to alert anyone as to your whereabouts.
There are tiers of enemies within Salvation: Echoes of War, so you could encounter regular level foes as well as elites, lieutenants, and generals - the latter being the game’s closest thing to a boss.
Outside of stealth sections, there are environmental puzzles to solve and, of course, there’s a good amount of exploration too.
Developers describe the combat as “non-aggressive”.
“Outsmart and evade enemies rather than defeat them directly,” they note. You’re also helped out by a dog-like creature with whom you have an inseparable bond.
I don’t know why it’s a dog-like creature and not just a dog, but I’m sure the narrative will reveal that information.
Salvation: Echoes of War claims to offer “an intense story of trauma, redemption, and survival”.
It looks very promising, and you can enjoy a free taster, as mentioned, on PlayStation 5. The demo should run for 15 to 25 minutes, depending on your pace of play.

As promising as the game looks, it’s off to a mixed start. A respectable 32% of players have awarded it a perfect score of five, with 47% of players awarded it a score of just one.
That’s averaged out to 2.74. Of course, you can’t leave written PlayStation reviews, so there’s no justification for this dissonance, but there’s no harm in giving Salvation: Echoes of War a go yourself.
