PlayStation fans who are yet to upgrade could get access to 100s of games for free until the end of the year, but the offer is ending soon.
The PlayStation 5 has been out for a while but if you’re still using your PlayStation 4 I honestly couldn’t blame you.
As many have said, the current generation of gaming has felt quite uneventful and now we’re already talking about the next one.
If you’re thinking of finally upgrading to the PlayStation 5 this year though there’s an excellent deal you need to consider to get the most out of your shiny new console, but it ends soon, like today soon.

In a limited-time offer Sony is offering those who purchase a PlayStation 5 or PlayStation 5 Pro a 3-month subscription to PlayStation Plus Premium.
PlayStation Plus Premium is of course the highest tier you can get and will grant you access to online play, the Essential tier monthly free games, the entire PlayStation Plus Extra library as well as additional classic games and a cloud-streaming feature exclusive to Premium.
That’s access to hundreds and hundreds of games with even more to come as we close out 2025, which ironically is how long this subscription would last you.
This offer applies to all PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro consoles, even the gorgeous 30th anniversary console modelled after the original PlayStation console. The new Ghost Of Yotei console bundle is also part of the deal and it even applies to refurbished consoles if you’d like to save a bit of money.

All in all it’s a pretty good deal but it’s not going to last much longer, as it expires at the end of the day.
Of course if you’re a PlayStation 4 owner who doesn’t want to upgrade to PlayStation 5, or even a PlayStation 5 owner who doesn’t want to upgrade to the PlayStation 5 Pro that’s entirely fine.
In fact there’s an argument to be made that now is one of the worst times to upgrade now that conversations are taking place regarding the PlayStation 6.
Reports reckon production on the console starts next year for a 2027 launch, so if you want to hold up for a while that might be the best option.

That said, if you don’t have a PlayStation 5 by May next year you will be missing out on GTA VI, is that something you can live with?
