If you’re looking for a new game to play on PlayStation Plus, might we recommend something to you that will only take a few hours to complete?
There are a lot of games on PlayStation Plus. Hundreds, even. When there’s so much to choose from, it can make finding the right game a little difficult.
That’s why a lot of games often get discovered through word of mouth. When choice paralysis kicks in, it might become more a case of asking around and getting recommended something from another person.
That’s certainly the case for Thank Goodness You’re Here, a comedy indie game released last year by Panic, the same publisher behind Firewatch, Untitled Goose Game, and Arco. That's quite the resume, if you ask me.

In Thank Goodness You’re Here, you play as a traveling salesman in a northern English town, who performs a series of odd jobs for the locals and has bizarre encounters with them.
There isn’t loads of depth in Thank Goodness You’re Here, but it comes more down to the humour and overall charm of the game that makes it worth a play.

“Free on PS+, Short 2-4hr platinum, and simple gameplay. There's lots of crude/dark humor and the voice acting is great. GF and I had alot of fun with it,” wrote one player on the PlayStation Plus Reddit page.

Indeed, it’s a good shout if you’re after something that can be completed in just a few hours. Your mileage may vary depending on where you’re located, as the humour in Thank Goodness You’re Here certainly has a British flavour to it. But we’d recommend it nonetheless.
What do Critics Have to Say About Thank Goodness You're Here?
On Metacritic, the PS5 version of the game has an average critic review score of 84, based on 15 reviews which are largely positive. And even there, the lowest score is 7/10, which still indicates a good game.
In GAMINGbible’s review of Thank Goodness You’re Here from last year, Ewan said that it was “light on traditional gameplay and criminally brief, but if Coal Supper’s goal was to make me laugh until my sides hurt for nearly two hours, I’d say mission very much accomplished.”

In the same thread, other players recommend trying out games like Stray, Sayonara Wild Hearts, Sword of the Sea, and Superliminal. I guess games beginning with an ‘S’ are popular right now.
