PlayStation Plus users heap praise on 9/10 day one release

It's a must-play title

PlayStation Plus always has a great selection of games to choose from, and most recently it landed an absolute catch.

If you didn’t play Dave the Diver last year, well, what were you doing with your life? But also, get on it because it’s the catch of the day.

Dave the Diver was a runaway success last year and its release on PlayStation won't slow it down.

If you’re a PlayStation Plus subscriber, make sure to download this brilliant, and relaxing game about fishing and adventure under the water. Then you take the fish back to a sushi bar and serve customers.

Honestly, it’s genuinely fantastic. There are little side tasks to take care of, like hunting for lost civilisations, or tackling monsters at horrifying depths. Honestly, it’s a great plaice to be.

When Dave the Diver launched last year, it was to a wave of positive reviews and players couldn’t get enough. It’s great to play in small bursts, or for long evening sessions of hunting and gathering.

If you don’t want to take my word for it, you should listen to these players who are having a blast.

Discussing the game on Reddit, one player says, they “kept telling myself just one more dive, just one more quest, just one more service shift for over two hours straight yesterday.”

This player was in the same boat: “Way better than I expected, was gonna play 10-15 mins last night, ended up playing for a good hour or so.”

It’s so easy to get wrapped up in tasks, but its simple gameplay will have you on the hook. Another Redditor says, “This is truly a fun game and indeed very relaxing. The only problem is that it makes me hungry for sushi.”

The success of the game meant some fancy crossovers and we got a lovely team-up with the Lovecraftian Dredge, but Godzilla is also on the way if big reptiles are your kind of thing.
