PlayStation Plus’ latest offerings didn’t exactly impress subscribers.

In case you missed it, the essential tier recently welcomed RoboCop: Rogue City, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, and Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker's Memory - three games which all released to mixed reviews.

In just a few days, on Wednesday 8 April, the latest extra and premium tier additions are due to be unveiled so here’s to hoping they pack a tad more wow factor.

In the meantime though, as reported by ComicBook, there is one extra tier title that PlayStation Plus subscribers should not be sleeping on.

That game is 2024’s Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown.

You can take a look at the game in action below.

It’s a great shout; here at GAMINGbible, we awarded The Lost Crown a score of nine upon release.

“This is a marvellous achievement for Ubisoft, a company that thrives on its franchises, they’ve managed to create something that honours the past while feeling entirely fresh,” wrote our very own Dan Lipscombe.

“Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is, by turns, thrilling, bombastic, and extravagant. A welcome entry into the genre, a welcome return of a legend and a brilliant good time.”

One Reddit user had this to say, as per ComicBook: “Finally playing Prince of Persia, this game is actually perfect for me. Just downloaded it tonight and already put eight hours in, and three of that is just doing challenges in the Haven. Everyone on this sub was hyping it up and I see why.”

“Phenomenal game. Feel bad for not picking it up earlier but my faith in Ubisoft was low. I loved it. It scratched an itch and cleansed my palate of more modern games,” added another player.

If you’re unfamiliar with Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, it’s a 2.5D side-scrolling take on the franchise you know and love.

You’ll play as Sargon, a member of a group of warriors known as The Immortals, who must travel to Mount Qaf to save the kidnapped Prince Ghassan.

If you have access to the extra tier, it’s well worth a play.
