Yesterday, PlayStation Plus unveiled which games would be joining its Extra and Premium tier catalogues in April.
Once again, only one game was announced for the Premium tier; in fact, only seven games were confirmed for the Extra catalogue.
This is a clear reduction on the 10 to 15 games we typically used to see land every month.
On Tuesday 21 April, Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, The Crew Motorfest, Football Manager 26 Console, Warriors: Abyss, Squirrel With A Gun, The Casting of Frank Stone, and Monster Train will join the Extra tier.

Wild Arms 4 is your only Premium tier addition.
However, if you have a Premium subscription, you should actually be able to get your hands on one of the new Extra games early, from today in fact.
The game in question is Football Manager 26 Console, which is already included in the Premium tier’s Game Trials.
Developed by Sports Interactive and published by SEGA, Football Manager 26 Console is the latest edition of the long-running sports management sim.
As is the case in every entry, players will oversee the running of a football club, selecting tactics, managing transfers, and balancing the books.
In this version, you should expect “the richest Match Day experience in series history”.
There are also plenty of fully-licensed club badges, kits, and player photos, plus an overhauled UI and a revamped manager creation experience.

If it’s a game you want to try sooner rather than later, that Game Trial I mentioned lasts for a whopping 10 hours.
When you pick up the full release on the Extra tier next week, all progress made should carry over, allowing you to get a decent headstart.
Admittedly, Football Manager 26 Console probably isn’t the most desirable game on this list.
It failed to resonate with both players and critics when it launched last year.
In fact, over on Metacritic, it boasts a measly metascore of 68 and a user score of just 2.8.
The reasoning behind that is that Football Manager 26 Console proved to be pretty buggy and unfinished upon release.

Thankfully, devs have released a series of patches since that troubled November launch, so the game is in a much more stable state now.
Given that it won’t cost you any extra money to try it out on PlayStation Plus, it’s perhaps the perfect way to finally give this game a chance.
If it’s not for you, the remainder of the line-up drops on 21 April, so you don’t have very long to wait.
