PlayStation Plus users do not want to skip this underrated gem, and gamers agree.
Regardless of the PlayStation Plus subscription tier that we pay for, each is packed full of games, whether it’s first-party delights, big AAA titles or indie darlings that may have flown by unnoticed.
Of course, the higher the tier that we subscribe to, the more games and bonus perks we’ll have available. For example, PlayStation Plus Essential typically has three new games per month that will remain in our library with an active subscription.
However, rather than the typical three games offered with PlayStation Plus Essential, Sony has treated us to five free games for December 2025, one of which is a fun Horizon game.

As for PlayStation Plus Extra, this includes everything from the Essential tier but with a ton more PS5 and PS4 games to choose from.
PlayStation Plus Premium includes everything in the previous two tiers with loads of classic games, cloud streaming, free movies and more.
That being said, no matter the subscription tier, they all offer online multiplayer, exclusive discounts and DLC, cloud storage and so forth.
That being said, what is the underrated gem that we spoke of at the top of this article? The game in question is Neon White, developed by Angel Matrix and published by Annapurna Interactive.

Gamers recommend Neon White
“Neon White is a lightning-fast first-person action game about exterminating demons in Heaven," reads the synopsis of the game.
"You are White, an assassin handpicked from Hell to compete with other demon slayers for a chance to live permanently in Heaven. The other assassins seem familiar, though."

Neon White was released in 2022 and could have easily been one of those games that flew under your radar.
After watching a gameplay trailer, it gives me major Mirror’s Edge vibes with its high-octane, fast-paced, parkour gameplay.
“What do you guys think of the PlayStation monthly games?” asked Redditor alexellison8877, to which AdventNebula replied, “Neon White is an underrated gem.”
“This is one of those games I'd never get to if not for PS Plus. Cocoon was the most recent one I really enjoyed. I will definitely be checking this out,” said Soggy-Beach-1495.

“I played it on Steam. I love it. Now with it on Plus, I have an excuse to play it again,” declared AdventNebula, once more.
“It was so good with the Switch's gyro controls, it will probably be even better with a DualSense controller,” suggested MarkyDeSade.
Neon White, along with all four of the other PlayStation Plus Essential games for December 2025, is available to download and play right now at no extra cost.
Neon White is also available on PC, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
