PlayStation Plus gamers are urging fellow subscribers to check out the “masterpiece” they can play at no extra cost before it’s too late.

PlayStation Plus offers tons of video games to play such as first-party Sony exclusives, major third-party delights, indie darlings and even retro classics if you subscribe to the Premium tier.

However, while the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium tiers offer a much larger choice than Essential, many games come and go on a rotational basis, and that even includes first-party titles. So it’s always wise, if a game tickles your fancy, to complete it before it’s removed from the library with no guarantee it will return.

Earlier this month, Sony announced the newest additions to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium, one of those games is being called a “masterpiece” by fans and it's none other than God of War Ragnarök from Santa Monica Studio.

In our review of God of War Ragnarök, we said it’s: “a fantastically impressive sequel that delivers in every conceivable way. It expands on and improves the formula established in 2018’s God of War hugely, offering up blistering action, gut-wrenching twists, and truly cinematic boss battles with real emotional heft behind them.”

“God of War Ragnarök must have sold a lot of units to be in this lineup. Those who haven't played it, it's a masterpiece, wish I could play it for the first time again,” said Redditor GoldTouch99.

“I just finally got around to playing Ragnarök and it’s an incredible experience,” replied Arcade23.

“I just started playing the God of War games (the new ones) two weeks ago. I’ve finished 2018 and now I’m on to Ragnarök. They’re awesome,” exclaimed Volderon90.

“Play Valhalla! It's free with Ragnarök,” reminded Fritz081, referring to the expansion that was released in December 2023.

God of War (2018) and God of War Ragnarök are out now on PC and PlayStation.
