PlayStation gamers are only just realising that they’re sitting on loads of bonuses that they never knew existed.
Ok, technically, they’re not sat on anything, because these freebies are digital. Unless, for whatever reason, you’re sitting on your PlayStation console, and if so, stop doing that, now.
Sony offers three tiers of its PlayStation Plus subscription service: Essential, Extra and Premium. PS Plus Essential is basically the same deal as before the service was revised in 2022.
PlayStation Plus Essential typically offers three games every month to add to your library that will remain accessible with an active subscription. It also offers other perks such as discounts, free DLC and a few other extras.

PlayStation Plus Extra offers everything included in the Essential tier but with a ton more PS5 and PS4 games.
Finally, PlayStation Plus Premium offers everything included in the previous two tiers but with retro classics, cloud streaming, trials and more. However, it also offers another free feature, which, to be honest, I keep forgetting about.
That freebie included in PlayStation Plus Premium is a large selection of curated movies courtesy of Sony Pictures Core at no extra cost.
Granted, it’s nowhere near the selection of choice compared to Netflix or Amazon’s Prime Video, but you’re bound to find one or two gems to help pass the time for a couple of hours or so.

“Hey folks, I created a list of the PlayStation Plus Catalogue on Letterboxd since there aren't many other ways to view this without a PlayStation console,” posted Redditor Akunoma.

It’s worth keeping in mind that the movies shown in the image above might not be available right now, because much like the games included in PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium, they rotate with comings and goings.
It also seems that movies available in the service may differ depending on your region.
“Wait. Do we get free movies also? I never knew that,” replied Last_Ronin69.
“You are awesome for this! I’ve never really looked into it, this’ll get me to check it out,” declared antwan_blaze.

“The movie selection is actually pretty good,” said Fersur. “I have watched many of the movies, but sometimes they have a 'Oh, it has been a while, and I want to rewatch it’ kinda movie.”
Fersur is absolutely right. You won't find new releases to watch at no extra cost (you’ll have to pay to buy or rent those), but it does have plenty of classics of yesteryear. For example, my wife and I rewatched I Know What You Did Last Summer and Urban Legend, not that long ago, and it was a fun blast from the past.
So, if you’re a PlayStation Plus Premium subscriber and you’re stuck for something to watch, it might be worth seeing what’s available on Sony Pictures Core. After all, it’s part of the service.
