PlayStation Plus free game is one of the greatest RPGs ever made, fans agree

There are amazing games to be found on PS Plus, we cannot lie

What is the greatest RPG of all time? Such a question will, understandably creates discourse within the gaming community (as if it needed help with that), so let’s narrow down this down to PlayStation Plus RPGs – what comes out on top then?

As far as fans are concerned, it has to be PS Plus’ Dragon’s Dogma. It’s a strong choice, one we’re inclined to agree with, though Sea of Stars comes a close second for quite a few of the GAMINGbible team.

“One of the greatest Action RPGs ever made, along with the best combat system,” praised Redditor bezyll. This comment swiftly generated other posts of fans praising the game for its dedication to detail, specifically when it comes to character creation. “I'll forever love this game because height and weight actually matter when designing a character,” they said, before adding, “I hope the sequel has similar character creation.”

It's coming, and before you know it, Dragon's Dogma will be here and ready for us to play

The sequel has a lot riding on it, that’s for sure. Not that we think we should be worried, especially having seen gameplay during PlayStation’s State of Play. In 2023, when we learnt we didn’t have long to wait until its release, we were excited, but that excitement stepped up a gear after seeing what the game has in store for its fans.

Naturally, it will take an awful lot to surpass the original, especially when fans are still falling in love with the depth of its narrative and lore. Then there’s the newcomers, only just discovering what Dragon’s Dogma has to offer, which we are envious of. Oh, to experience it for the first time again – what a rush!

Should you want to feel that rush for yourselves, PS Plus has this famed RPG and many others available for the simple price of a month’s subscription. We know not everyone is sold on the service’s worth, but there are always hidden gems to be found for those who seek them.
