Whether it’s from work or school, chances are that you’re about to find yourself on a Christmas break. I’m imagining that break will be spent with family and friends, opening a couple of presents, and eating some delicious food but surely there’ll be some downtime for gaming too.

Well, if you happen to find yourself with some free time but you have no idea what to play, allow me to drop a recommendation. PlayStation Plus extra tier users can currently enjoy Ghostwire: Tokyo and this open-world horror gem is being heaped with praise from players who also recently discovered it on PS Plus. Developed by Tango Gameworks, Ghostwire: Tokyo was released last year and sees players face off against ghosts and spirits haunting the city of Tokyo. It’s played from a first-person perspective and it feels important to mention that there are pettable dogs.

Take a look at Ghostwire: Tokyo in action below.

Reddit user Modo97 began the praise, writing, “It might not be a 10 out of 10, but you can tell this game was made with so much love and passion.” User KaiNeutral added, “It was a game I really enjoyed and kept me entertained,” while ThermonuclearPasta said, “I have to replay this game sometime. I really loved the atmosphere and the exploration.”

Consistent_Tailor_63 commented, “Enjoyed and platinumed it. Hope they make a sequel.” Many compared it to Assassin’s Creed, with Fideriks1 noting, “I recently played it after getting it for free. It was repetitive like a Ubisoft game but I loved the combat and atmosphere so much that I just kept going. I really enjoyed myself overall.”

In our own review of Ghostwire: Tokyo, we said, “Almost everything in this game feels so coherent and grounded to this capital city that the team evidently have a lot of love for and it's an experience that fans of its previous games - and those curious about the possibilities of the horror genre in games - should definitely dip into.”

Don’t forget to grab this month’s essential tier offerings: Sable, Powerwash Simulator, and LEGO 2K Drive.
