Sony has announced its first free game coming to PlayStation Plus in Spring 2025 and it’s one not to be missed.

We’re about a month away from when Spring begins and other than hoping for warmer weather, subscribers of Sony’s PlayStation Plus have an absolute indie banger to look forward to, especially for those who enjoy a thrilling mystery tale with a dose of puzzle-solving.

Check out the Blue Prince trailer below!

As reported by Push Square, developed by Dogubomb, the indie game in question is Blue Prince, which was announced alongside the PlayStation Plus February 2025 games arriving next week.

“Welcome to Mt. Holly, where every dawn unveils a new mystery. Navigate through shifting corridors and ever-changing chambers in this genre-defying strategy puzzle adventure,” reads the synopsis of Blue Prince. “But will your unpredictable path lead you to the rumoured Room 46?”

The news of Blue Prince’s arrival to PlayStation Plus was announced alongside other fantastic free additions such as the critically acclaimed Star Wars Jedi: Survivor as well as Top Spin 2K25 and the highly anticipated Lost Records: Bloom & Rage from Don’t Nod.

In our preview of Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, we said: “Don’t Nod’s latest title is set to stand toe-to-toe with the greats and may even overtake Life is Strange in popularity. Either way, it is definitely one to keep on your radar going into the new year.”

Oh, and we’re also getting three retro Armored Core games by FromSoftware, the famed developer that also brought us the likes of Bloodborne, Dark Souls, Elden Ring and more.

While no release date was announced for when Blue Prince is coming to PlayStation Plus, we do know that it will be coming soon this Spring which could land anywhere between March and June 2025.

As soon as we get a release date for Blue Prince, we’ll let you know. In the meantime, you can download and play its free demo on Steam for PC right now.
