The month of October is almost upon us, and it’ll bring many goodies.

It’s a huge month for game releases, with Ghost of Yōtei, Directive 8020, Little Nightmares III, Battlefield 6, Pokémon Legends: Z-A, and The Outer Worlds 2 amongst the titles on the way.

Of course, October will also bring us another batch of PlayStation Plus free games.

The essential tier line-up is expected to be announced on 1 October with those titles being available to play from 7 October.

The essential and premium tier drop will be unveiled on 8 October, ready to land on 14 October.

With this in mind, there’s a small wait ahead of us, but one of October’s premium tier offerings may have already landed online.

It’s looking as if 2007’s Tomb Raider: Anniversary could be making a comeback.

As reported by PlayStation Lifestyle, TrueTrophies has picked up a brand new PlayStation 4 trophy list for the game, all but confirming an impending launch.

Tomb Raider: Anniversary originally landed on the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, and PSP - when it comes to Sony consoles, anyway.

The game followed Lara as she sought out the Scion of Atlantis, sending her to Peru, Greece, Egypt, and the Lost Island.

What isn’t yet clear is which version of Anniversary will land on PlayStation Plus, if that is indeed what’s happening.

TrueTrophies has spotted 26 trophies for the title, including that coveted platinum.

As I mentioned, there’s only a PS4 trophy list for now, but I’m imagining a PS5 equivalent will surface in due course.

The trophies look rather as expected.

Many will be unlocked upon completing story chapters, plus there are trophies for completing Time Trials, collecting all Artifacts and Relics, wearing 10 outfits, listening to 10 commentaries, and much, much more.

I don’t want to dive into the ultra specific trophies because some people consider that a spoiler.

Sometimes it’s fun to do something dumb or random in a game only for a trophy to ping and surprise you.

With quite a number of weeks to go until we get confirmation on Tomb Raider: Anniversary’s arrival, allow me to remind you what recently landed on the service.

This month, Stardew Valley, Psychonauts 2, and Viewfinder are available on the essential tier.

As always, I recommend you nab all three titles; you never know what you’ll want to try out further down the line.

As for the month’s extra and premium tier additions, you can now enjoy WWE 2K25, Persona 5 Tactica, Green Hell, Fate/Samurai Remnant, Crow Country, The Invincible, Conscript, and Legacy of Kane: Defiance.

It’s not the strongest month we’ve ever seen, but there’s surely something there to tide you over.
