Don't miss out on this epic freebie

Released just a few days ago and already free for PlayStation Plus subscribers, this action-adventure 3D platformer has fans hooked already.

Those wanting something to play this weekend which can guarantee you hours of fun should check out The Plucky Squire.

Check out the trailer for The Plucky Squire below!

Developed by All Possible Futures, this brand-new 3D-platformer sees storybook characters come to life outside the pages of their books.

Able to switch between 2D and 3D worlds, they must act to save their friends in a series of unique challenges, filled with puzzles, boxing badgers, jetpacks and multiple mini-games.

“The Plucky Squire follows the magical adventures of Jot and his friends - storybook characters who discover a three-dimensional world outside the pages of their book,” the official synopsis reads.

When the malevolent Humgrump realizes he's the villain of the book - destined to lose his battle against the forces of good for all eternity - he kicks the heroic Jot out of its pages and changes the story forever.”

It is so enjoyable, in fact, that our very own Ewan Moore called it “a dimension-hopping delight”.

“The Plucky Squire is charm personified, and is impossible not to welcome into your heart,” GAMINGbible’s review read.

“It’s a lovingly made sunny day of a game, a throwback to the classics with enough modern touches and genuinely original ideas to ensure it stands on its own two feet. Don’t leave this one on the shelf, whatever you do.”

If this sounds up your street then you are in luck as The Plucky Squire is free to download for all PlayStation Plus subscribers as part of its September selection.

This offering has fans very happy and they took to r/PlayStationPlus to share their thoughts.

“Just saw a video praising this game, search it up in the Playstation app and it’s free!! What a day,” one comment read.

Another said: “It's super fun. I'm about 5 hours in and having a blast with it.

The artwork is really well done, and the atmosphere is very inviting. Combat feels good and responsive, and lots of fun minigames peppered throughout.”
