If you’re a PlayStation fan, then I’m going to hazard a guess that you’re also a God of War fan.
After all, it is one of the blue brand’s flagship franchises.
In celebration of God of War’s 20th anniversary, you can now get your hands on a snazzy new themed DualSense controller.
You can purchase the DualSense Wireless Controller - God of War™ 20th Anniversary Limited Edition from PlayStation Direct where it’ll set you back £74.99 / $84.99 / €84.99 / ¥12,480.

Certainly, it’s not quite the anniversary announcement many were hoping for.
For months, it’s been rumoured that Santa Monica Studio has been working on some kind of God of War metroidvania or side scroller, filling the gap between Ragnarök and the next mainline instalment.
Sadly, no official confirmation has landed.
This DualSense is pretty cool though, in my opinion, as an alternative.

The white base features a striking red stripe on the one side, mimicking the appearance of Kratos’ iconic ashen skin and scarlet tattoo, that extends onto the right back triggers.
The symbols on the controller’s various buttons are displayed in red, plus the DualSense states God of War 20th Anniversary on the back.
“In honour of God of War’s 20th anniversary this year, we were thrilled by the opportunity to celebrate this milestone with a new DualSense controller design. When we were deciding how best to embody the series, we immediately thought the form of the controller lent itself perfectly to Kratos’ omega tattoo,” said Santa Monica associate art director Dela Longfish.
“No matter which God of War game you’re playing, the shape of his red ink against the gray of his ash-covered skin is one of the most iconic elements of Kratos’ look across both Greek and Norse sagas.”

He continued, “Our team made sure to represent both of these key tones in the colour selection for the controller to make every aspect an authentic homage to the design that has defined Kratos for over two decades. We hope fans enjoy the controller and can’t thank everyone enough for all of the support you’ve shown Santa Monica Studio over the years!”
As I said, the controller is available to purchase now; if you fancy getting your hands on it, I’d act sooner rather than later.
The item is described as “limited edition”.
An exact number of units hasn’t been confirmed, but we’ve all seen how quickly previous controllers have sold out, including those themed around Astro Bot, Hogwarts Legacy, and The Last of Us.
