Your last chance to earn some free PlayStation Store credit is quickly approaching, before the service permanently shuts down for good.
You may have already heard this news, but you may also be under the impression that you have a little longer than you thought to actually claim some free PlayStation Store credit.
That’s because, as announced by Sony earlier this year, the PlayStation Stars service will be shut down forever in November.
Now, I can already tell what you’re about to say: “But November isn’t a week away!”

Well, while the PlayStation Stars service ends in November, your opportunity to actually earn some free credit (via points) through the service ends on July 23.
“Current PlayStation Stars members can still earn Digital Collectibles, Points and level up their status until July 23, 2025 at 7:59AM PDT…”, Sony revealed on the official PlayStation blog.
“After this date, there will be no new PlayStation Stars Campaigns available, or any additional rewards or status benefits to earn.”
Essentially, this means that while you can still continue to use PlayStation Stars until November, it’ll essentially be pointless once July 23 rolls around.

That’s because, while you can still redeem your Points, you won’t actually be able to earn any more Points (the currency that you can transfer into PlayStation Store credit).
So, does that mean you have enough time left to actually earn any more credit? Yes, but only just.
That being said, that only applies to those of you who already made a PlayStation Stars account prior to 21 May this year. Otherwise, you’ll actually be locked out of making a PlayStation Stars account.
Make sure you check your PlayStation Stars account ASAP, just in case. If you still have a bunch of credit left to redeem, it will presumably disappear once we hit November.
