Ghost of Tsushima is celebrating its fifth anniversary, a game that is so beloved by many of us.
Sucker Punch’s 2020 launch impressed reviewers, landing it a score of 83 over on Metacritic, but it's with players that Ghost of Tsushima really felt at home.
To this day, the user score sits at 9.2, garnering a ‘Universal Acclaim’ accolade for this wonderful action-adventure title.
I must admit, I missed out on Ghost of Tsushima at launch but I did finally pick it up in the last couple of years and I’m with the fans that this is truly a magical game.

The open world may have attracted some criticism from reviewers due to its checklist formula but for me, I’ve honestly never felt quite so at peace going for 100% completion as I did working my way across Tsushima and Iki Island.
I, like many of you, have fond memories of my time with the game, and it’s nice to look back on those during its anniversary.
And as I teased above, you can additionally celebrate with a couple of free gifts.
Sony and Sucker Punch have dropped three free PSN avatars to mark the occasion.

One features a masked Jin Sakai, another an unmasked Jin, with the final one featuring Jin atop his horse (Sora, Kage, or Nobu depending on what name you chose).
To nab these, you simply need to add a redemption code via the PlayStation Store.
You can find these redemption codes below.

Of course, we’re not that far away from the launch of Ghost of Yōtei; around two and half months to be exact.

While we won’t reunite with Jin, players will have the opportunity to meet Atsu, with Ghost of Tsushima’s gameplay formula returning so things should still feel familiar.
In a recent interview with VGC, it was confirmed that Ghost of Yōtei is around the same length as Ghost of Tsushima, so we should be in for another 20 hour story and 60 hour open world.
I cannot wait.
