A long-awaited feature is rolling out across Europe for the PlayStation 5 and gamers are delighted.

In September, Sony rolled out an update for the PlayStation 5 and one of its best features was the newly improved user interface of its home screen. However, this improvement to the UI was at the time region-specific and available in North America.

Check out the new Welcome Hub trailer below!

However, as reported by Push Square, that’s beginning to change according to gamers on Reddit. In particular, it seems the new Welcome Hub is rolling out in regions such as Europe.

Essentially, what the Welcome Hub does is make all your go-to features of the PlayStation 5 instantly accessible with a press of the button such as trophies, game progress, console storage, what’s hot on the PS store and more.

What’s more, it will also allow you to customise your home screen with screenshots that you’ve taken from your favourite games. It might not quite be as good as the proper dynamic themes of the PS3 and PS4 era but it is a step forward to that hopefully happening one day on PS5.

At the time of writing, gamers on Reddit have reported that it’s become available in Germany, Spain, Italy and more. If the new Welcome Hub isn't available in your country yet, hopefully, it will be by the end of the month.

To clarify what the new Welcome Hub is all about, Redditor SilverSquid1810 explained to a fellow member on the thread: “It’s the section of the home screen that you start on whenever you turn the console on.”

“It gives you customisable widgets that you can add/remove, reorder, and change the shape of,” they continued. “Widgets include battery information, recent friend activity, sales on your wishlist, and a variety of other fun little things.”

We can’t wait to see all the snazzy screenshots that gamers are using in their Welcome Hub across social media worldwide in the coming days.
