PlayStation quietly adds 10 new free games you can download now

Available now!

PlayStation Plus users can now download up to 10 new games, depending on what tier you’re subscribed to.

Although the service was originally popular for accessing online multiplayer and accessing cloud saves, the free games is now the main reason to sign up for PlayStation Plus.

There’s the monthly games you can grab and play any time as long as you have an active subscription, and the games on the Extra and Premium tiers which can be played for as long as they’re on the service.

Sand Land is one such title coming to PlayStation Plus Extra this month.

Usually the latter titles get added midway through the month, and now Sony has added an additional batch of titles to play depending on which tier of the subscription you’re on.

These new titles are available across PS4 and PS5, depending on which platforms each individual game supports, and there’s also a new classic title available for Premium subs.

Here is the list of PS4 and PS5 titles available on PlayStation Plus Extra:

  • Sand Land (PS5 & PS4)
  • Soul Hackers 2 (PS5 & PS4)
  • Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted - Full Time Edition (PS5 & PS4)
  • Battlefield V (PS4)
  • S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy (PS5 & PS4)
  • Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising (PS5 & PS4)
  • HUMANKIND (PS5 & PS4)
  • Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life (PS5)
  • Gloomhaven Mercenaries Edition (PS5 & PS4)

Additionally, PlayStation Plus users on the Premium tier get access to the above, but will also be able to play the PS2 game Battle Engine Aquila.

Each of these titles are available to play in supported regions, including UK, Europe, and US. To see the full list of titles available to you, load up your PS4 or PS5 console and head to the PlayStation Plus section on the home screen.

Of course, while these ten new games are a welcome addition to the service, it comes at the cost of 22 games being removed from it.

This move includes Sony removing games like Journey to the Savage Planet, GTA 5, and Ghostrunner from PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium.
