We don’t wish to cause undue hope here, but it would seem like a new Uncharted is on the way if this job listing shared online is anything to go by.
Suspicions over a possible new game were raised on Reddit yesterday, with internet sleuths searching the dregs of LinkedIn in the hopes of learning what Naughty Dog and Bend Studio is up to. It seems they were successful and found a job listing referencing a “joint unannounced project”.

The absence of a new Uncharted game has been deeply felt by the fandom, with the loyal gamers almost desperate to play any new instalment regardless of what form it takes. “I miss this franchise so much. At this point I'm accepting anything as long those characters are in It. I don't mind anymore if it's a prequel, a sequel with a 50-year-old Nathan or a game with his daughter. Just give me some Uncharted,” said TheSovereign2181 in response to this news.
Even if the job listing is simply for PS5 remasters of the OG trilogy, the fans will gladly take it – they just want something. Anything.
Unfortunately, a spanner might have already been wedged into the cogs of this happy news as one Redditor commented, “This sounds like that Uncharted game that Bend Studio started working on with Naughty Dog's support before moving to their own new IP.” Just as we started to feel hope return to our bones, it was quickly dashed away with cold logic. Goddamnit.
Still, while the odds look less in fans’ favour, it could be that the new Sony studio being set up in San Diego could be taking over the unknown Uncharted project, thus leaving potential for a new game to live on. It feels like a long shot, but it’s one we’ll take.
We can’t confirm or deny if a new Uncharted game is in the works, such is the mystery surrounding the franchise. However, we’re hopeful that Drake, or his daughter, will return to our consoles one day.
