Marvel's Spider-Man 2 free download announced you might've missed

You can play one of 2023’s best video games for free on PlayStation 5 with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.

When subscribed to Sony’s top tier of PlayStation Plus, you not only get everything included in the Essential and Extra tiers, but you also get classic games from just about every PlayStation generation so far as well as the ability to stream games, have access to select movies and much more.

One of the other benefits is being able to play free trials for tons of games and depending on the title, those trials can be anything from 45 minutes to five hours long. In that process, you will not only earn trophies but all progress will be carried over if you decide to purchase the full game.

In case you may have missed it, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 developed by Insomniac Games is included in the PlayStation Plus Premium trials granting you two full hours game gameplay at no extra cost for subscribers.

In our review of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, we said: “This is an amazing fantasy come to life and realised like never before. Insomniac Games has crafted yet another heartfelt Spider-Man story bursting with twists, turns, and show-stopping spectacle.”

At the moment, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is priced at £69.99 on the PlayStation Store, so you might want to hold out for a discount (though it is an amazing game). However, if you buy a physical copy of the game, your progress from the trial will still carry over.

It’s unlikely that the trial will leave PS Plus Premium anytime soon, so there’s no major hurry to play the free version of this game (even though you should play it now).

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is out now exclusively for the PlayStation 5 but we’re sure it will get a PC release one day, just like the first 2018 game.
