Horizon 3 fans all (well, mostly) want this crucial gameplay feature, and I feel inclined to agree.
Developed by the studio that once brought us Killzone, Guerrilla Games, when Horizon Zero Dawn arrived in 2017 on the PlayStation 4, it instantly became one of Sony’s leading video game properties.
Horizon Zero Dawn was a massive departure for Guerrilla Games, a studio that had already established itself as a first-person shooter developer. I can remember before the launch of the game, being very sceptical that the team could pull it off, and I was glad to have these concerns quickly squashed.
Without question, Horizon Zero Dawn and its 2022 sequel, Horizon Forbidden West, are two of my favourite games of their generation, and the two expansions, The Frozen Wilds and Burning Shores, aren't too shabby either. So now, like many, I’m eagerly awaiting the arrival of the third game in the series.
What Do Fans Want in Horizon 3?
That being said, fans on Reddit have been discussing what they’d love to see in Horizon 3.

“What are things we saw in Burning Shores that you think will carry over to Horizon 3?” asked Living-Cheesecake374.
“Similar to how Frozen Wilds tested out elements like puzzles or bluegleam/greenshine that ultimately appeared in HFW, what do you think H3 will expand on that first appeared in Burning Shores?”

Fellow members of the thread were keen to respond.
“I really hope for transmedium rideable machines, so a machine you can use to fly in the air and then seamlessly plunge under water and swim,” replied NCC_1701E.
“I really think that's something that must stay,” agreed Dycoth.
“They could even have some kind of air / land machine.”
“It would be very cool to have land-sea, land-air, sea-air rideable machines all as options. Maybe taming snapmaws for land-sea?” added InsaneMarshmallow.
“Feels like there's going to be naval combat. Burning Shores had the skiff, the waterwing and even some underwater ballistas,” said ThePreciseClimber, offering something a little different to the conversation.
“I think we will see more far Zenith tech. The challenge will be to get the balance to still need the traditional bow and arrow, and make sure the far Zenith tech is not overpowered,” explained Eletricmojo.
For me, whenever Horizon 3 does arrive, I just want to tame a Thunderjaw, and then I’d be a very happy man indeed. Both Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon Forbidden West are out now on PC and PlayStation.
