A new report has suggested that GTA 6 will hit a solid 60FPS, but only for one console.
We’re just over ten months away from being able to get our hands on Grand Theft Auto 6, and it seems as though we’re getting new rumours and leaks every single week.
Rumours speculating on everything from the price of the game to the amount of content there is to do has got fans on the edge of their seats, but it’s important to remember to take these reports with a grain of salt.
A new report now claims that GTA 6 is targeting 60FPS, but is only confirmed for one console for the time being.

According to the rumour, GTA 6 will be 60FPS on the PS5 Pro, with framerates for the base PS5 and Xbox Series X/S not confirmed yet.
The information comes from YouTuber DetectiveSeeds as the source, who had previously accurately reported on the remaster for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and Doom: The Dark Ages.

“GTA 6 has been, and continues to hit 60fps while being optimized for the PS5 Pro on multiple graphical settings,” reads the source. “PS engineers are assisting with the optimization due to the new tech being implemented and rolled out with a current target date of May 2026.”
The report continues: “As of right now, 60FPS is being achieved on the PS5 Pro only (this could obviously change before release). It is anticipated that GTA 6 will have multiple graphical options on the PS5 Pro on release.”
According to DetectiveSeeds, the information has been passed along from a “PlayStation engineer who has provided highly accurate and verified info several times in the past.”
They also confirm a marketing deal between Rockstar Games and Sony, meaning several console bundles should be confirmed closer to launch. This would make sense, considering the same occurred with the PS4 Pro and Red Dead Redemption 2.
