PlayStation has released a little festive treat for Ghost of Yotei fans by releasing a bunch of limited-time free downloads.
Ghost of Yotei released on PS5 back in October, and the game has become one of the most popular releases of the year, selling millions of copies and winning end of year awards.
Given how successful the Ghost series has been, it’s looking like Ghost of Yotei will become one of the most popular games of the PS5 generation, up with the likes of Astro Bot and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
To celebrate the holidays, Sucker Punch Productions has put together a bunch of free avatars for players to download and feature on their PSN profiles.

The avatars feature artwork of several characters from Ghost of Yotei, including Jubei, Oyuki, and Master Enomoto. There’s also avatars of the Golden Bird and The Wolf.

These avatars are available to claim right now for a limited time. To access them, you need to redeem a code on the PlayStation Store. Once you’ve done that, the avatars will be added to your account and you can use them when changing your profile photo.

Ghost of Yotei is set over 300 years after Ghost of Tsushima. It’s about Atsu, a warrior who is seeking revenge against the Yotei Six for the slaughter of her family and the burning of her home.
PlayStation has revealed that Ghost of Yotei will also be getting a free multiplayer expansion in 2026, acting as a sequel to Ghost of Tsushima Legends, the multiplayer component from the first game.
Ghost of Yotei Legends will feature two-player multiplayer missions that follow a new story, while four-player survival matches against powerful foes will also be present. For those who enjoy the combat action from the single-player game, this will provide a decent multiplayer alternative.

There’s no timeframe for when Ghost of Yotei Legends will be released, but we do know it’ll be out sometime in 2026. As for single-player DLC, Sucker Punch has already stated that none is planned, but it would purely depend on player reception as to whether it would release a large expansion for Atsu’s story.
