Ghost Of Tsushima's surprise PS5 return leaves fans stunned

A stunning return for Jin

It’s always delightful when a fandom gets to see a beloved character make a surprise return, and for Ghost of Tsushima fans, this PlayStation 5 return hasn’t disappointed.

Ghost of Tsushima is already making a comeback this December; however, this is a different surprise, and one you can appreciate right now.

And no, sadly we’re not referring to the live-action film, although the perfect Jin Sakai cast choice is right in front of us.

We’re talking about the adorable Astro Bot Jin.

Astro Bot, which GAMINGbible’s Kate Harrold described as “an all-time great of stratospheric proportions”.

One little bot, but a big adventure. Check out Astro Bot's trailer below

As you’ll undoubtedly have noticed if you’ve played Astro Bot, an eclectic cast of familiar characters appear throughout – although it’s essentially one giant advertisement for Sony, it’s a glorious one.

Perhaps then, fans shouldn’t be shocked to see Jin in-game, yet they’re not only surprised by their appearance, they’re thrilled by it as well.

On Reddit, Redlp13 shared a clip of Jin and Bloodborne’s Hunter.

Although the Hunter is being a menace and disturbing Jin while he attempts to chill in a hot spring, the video is such a fun way for Jin to make a surprise return.

“I was hoping he’d be in it,” posted JTStarkiller before asking, “Which level is this?”

“Jin just can't stay out of the hot springs. I see he brought the fox too,” remarked justvermillion after spotting the cute critter in the background.

A Ghost of Tsushima sequel, while assured by Sucker Punch, is a long way off yet.

This means that revisiting the iconic game either by replaying it or by playing Astro Bot becomes our means of survival as we brave the agonising wait until the sequel’s release.

If you decide on the former, there’s a hidden feature in-game that has blown Ghost of Tsushima fans away with how touching it is.

We’re so glad to see Jin back, even if it’s only as a cameo bot.
